The Owl is a public and private events company that is based in Montreal. They were doing well locally by word of mouth but management knew they could up their game and needed to take things to the next level. They had a basic website that had all of the right information for their clients but the site was still only getting traffic from their social media.
monthly visitors after around 3 months
more hosted events
The Owl was contacted by the Perron Marketing Group Ltd, and from then on a strategy was deployed. After a competitor analysis was done, the conclusion was that there was a whole market that their competitors were capitalizing off of and that was tourism. We understood this and built a brand new website for the owl that was fully seo optimized to have a good foundation for our work to come. We then performed an extensive off-page SEO strategy which involved acquiring backlinks from high domain authority sites, tons of business citations and even created a blog for his company that would entice foreigners who are coming down to Montreal to read.
After around 2-3 months of rigorous SEO work for The Owl, the results started to show. The Owl site would get 2-3 thousand monthly visitors on a regular basis and every event would be fully booked.
The Owl’s only issue now was keeping up with the growth and being able to scale. The Owl, with great management skills, hired 5 more employees to handle this growth and were able to host 75% more events then they did the year prior.
With a combination of SEO expertise and good management, The Owl changed their company for the better and to this day are still a client of ours.
Monday.com is a large software company listed on the NASDAQ and is a multi-functional CRM system (customer relationship management system). With a large budget behind them they wanted to make more of an impact in North America as it was founded in Israel. They already had a specialized team in pay-per click ads on google but wanted to perform better in the natural google search rankings. That is when they joined forces with the Perron Marketing Group Ltd.
The biggest competition was salesforce at the time and we needed to figure out what they are doing that is bringing them such success and how we can compete in the ranking. After tons of market research and testing, the solution we came up with was to target the more informational long tail keywords with less volume at the start to gain awareness in the industry and bump up the domain authority. After this was done successfully, It put the company in a position to now being able to target those highly competitive highly searched search terms and now monday.com holds top positions in important terms related to the CRM industry.
Now Monday.com is salesforce's biggest competitor with a company valuation of $6.81 Billion. Monday.com is no longer a client of ours as they have now reached extreme levels of success and are now a well oiled SEO machine but we keep good relations with them and still keep touch with them and bounce ideas with each other and keep ourselves updated on the changes in the industry and the future of search engine optimization.
